Zeekr
Zeekr is a young and new luxury EV brand, owned by Geely. The cars are produced in China and designed at Zeekr Design headquarters based in Gothenburg. I have been a part of the HMI team at Zeekr since the day the brand was created in 2022. I was involved in the first HMI concepts and explored new and innovative physical interactions..
A lot of work with is under strict NDA, therefore I can only show official images released by Zeekr.
What did I do?
For 3 years I worked in the Digital & Interaction Team at ZEEKR HMI, focusing on the vehicle’s digital touch points such as the driver display, center display, and rear-row screens. I explored concepts and improvements of the digi–physical interaction points and contributed to UI development, including the creation of the next-generation OS, designing in-car apps, and producing graphic assets for the displays.
The work at ZEEKR was highly agile and adaptive. We supported all vehicle programs and stepped in wherever needed.
Iconography
One of my main responsibilities was the creation of the physical icons in Zeekr cars. I led the development of a new, unified icon library that improved consistency across the vehicle lineup. In addition, I established a structured quality control process in close collaboration with teams in Shanghai and Hangzhou Bay, ensuring alignment between design, modeling, engineering, and production. This work not only streamlined internal workflows but also secured a higher and more consistent design standard across the brand’s vehicles.
